About Dave Sera and Streamline Electrical

My career in electrical began soon after I moved to the Sunshine Coast eleven years ago. After years of travel and a career in the restaurant industry working as a sommelier, the timing for change felt right. My wife — who works as a masseuse — and I had just finished a contract working on a cruise ship and we were expecting our first child. After a visit to Gibsons and falling in love with the place, we decided to “give it a try” for a year. That year must have felt right, because eleven years later we’re still here! I’ve been fortunate throughout my career in that I’ve been able to work predominantly on the Coast. Not only did I have some great mentors, but working locally has allowed me to establish a growing network of fellow contractors in the construction industry. The decision to start my own contracting company came after a short period working off-Coast as an industrial electrician at a diamond mine in the North West Territories. Nothing like some time underground to make you really appreciate the beauty of our home here… just as it did when we decided to move to Gibsons, the timing just felt right to strike out on my own. Our goal with Streamline Electrical is to deliver service of the highest quality, and we will strive to exceed client expectations.
